Why Alaska?

As you plan your adventures and vacations for this Summer, what sets Alaska apart from any other repetitive trip that you have experienced over and over again in other years? Certainly the hot sandy beaches and tequila are lacking in Alaska. We all need that Mexican vacation from time to time, but if your heart and soul need something different, if you are done with Disney Land, we welcome you to breathe in Alaska.

Alaska truly is the Last Frontier. You can be in a quiet anchorage on a sailboat and except for looking at the deck you are standing on, you can breathe in your surroundings and be immersed in the natural, beautiful world. Immersed to the extent that there is no observable indication of what year, or even what century you are present in. Literally, it is that pure.

The Tongass National Forest where we are encompasses nearly 17 million acres. The largest National Forests in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado do not exceed 4 million acres each...that includes the Tetons, etc.

There are several great Sailing Charter outfits in South East Alaska that can safely guide you into and through this beautiful natural wilderness. These Charters can be found in Sitka, Ketchikan, Wrangell and Juneau. We encourage you to step away from your Summer routine trip and experience a new world, a complete and healthy, intact ecology. We have four weeks available as of today. Join us on Raven's Dance this Summer.
